SATYA: Somatic Movement Workshop
In the somatic movement practice of SATYA, we slide and glide, we rock and roll, but most importantly we breathe and listen. The practice is gentle and slow and facilitates body-mind connection (embodied awareness). It soothes the nervous system and releases fatigue and tension in the physical body. Please join me for these special classes, which are truly accessible to all bodies and in which weโll have the luxury of time for movement and meditation, all in the spirit of gentle exploration.
Building (and Sticking To) An Essential Morning Practice
Whether or not youโre a morning person, committing to a regular practice to start your day can be difficult. While different bodies follow different rhythms, a brief but consistent practice after waking sets the tone for the whole day. With the guiding principle of daring to stay simple, weโll work together to build a sequence of movements to gently open and stretch the body. Weโll include a mindfulness meditation component to tie in to your individual yoga practice, and participants will leave with a 20-30 minute morning practice they can call their own and get started with the very next day.
